About us

Founded in the 12th century, Sablonceaux Abbey has had a turbulent history: from the Hundred Years' War to the Revolution and the Wars of Religion.

The abbey and its church, classified as a Historic Monument, a true stone setting, will reveal to you all the history of past centuries.

Duration: 1h15

Number of participants: 30 people. Max. Minimum 2 people.

Reservation required at the Destination Royan Atlantique tourist offices. Over-the-counter and online sales.

This visit is intended for the whole family. Dogs are not allowed to visit the church. In the event of very unfavorable weather and orange alert, the visit will be canceled. Participants will be notified 1 hour in advance.
