International disabled tennis tournament which is part of the global competition calendar of the ITF (International Tennis Federation) and supported by the French Tennis Federation.
In the ITF1 category, the Royan Open enters the very popular circle of the 16 largest tournaments in the world, in the same way as the Grand Slam tournaments (4 tournaments) and the Super Series (4 tournaments).
With this tournament, Royan is thus positioned at the same rank as Melbourne, Rotterdam, Seoul, Barcelona and even Georgia (USA).
5 days of competition with more than a hundred matches. Three categories: men, women and quads. This category of tournament attracts the world's elite of wheelchair tennis.
In this year of the Paralympic Games - Paris 2024, players will come and collect their
last qualifying points for the Games at the Royan Open. You will find the competitors present at the ITF1 Royan Open at the Stade Roland Garros in September 2024.
An exceptional godmother for the second time, Florence Alix-Gravellier, bronze medalist at the Beijing Paralympic Games, world no. 1 in wheelchair tennis in doubles (2005) and world no. 2 in singles (2006) and 6 times champion of France.
