The idea of ​​the Cavalcade Trio was born after the recording of the eponymous album in which Jérémy Jouve plays the entire works for classical guitar by Mathias Duplessy. The two guitarists then plan to play together in order to forge a bridge between classical music and world music, which they achieve by calling on the greatest tabla player in Europe, Prabhu Edouard, whose sound blends so well with the guitar. The compositions give pride of place to improvisation, drawing on music from Spain, Brazil, India and of course, composers dear to Mathias such as Ravel or Gismonti. Born in Tunisia into a family of musicians, Zied Zouari is one of the pioneers of contemporary Arab violin and a leading figure in contemporary oriental music.
