Founded in 1991, the Danel Quartet immediately established itself on the international classical scene. Awarded six times in international competitions, we must add the Grand Prix du Disque, Diapason d'or, Diapason d'or de l'année, Choc du Monde de la musique, Clef ResMusica, record of the month from BBC Music Magazine, disc of the month from the Fono Forum, Midem Prize, Gramophone Choice… Known for the intensity and depth of its interpretations, the ensemble has established itself in the great founding cycles of the string quartet, from Haydn, Beethoven and Schubert to Shostakovich and Weinberg. A living vision of the great repertoire whose freshness has escaped neither the press nor the public.
