Exposition – Maisons des bords de mer, modernité et régionalisme en Charente-Maritime (1945-1980)

An important study entrusted to art historian Gilles Ragot by the CAUE de la Charente-Maritime from 2016 to 2022, gave rise to an exhibition and a book.

Based on a corpus of 12 houses recorded in coastal communities, Gilles Ragot traces 000 years of history of seaside residences in our department and bears witness to the evolution of the villa into a simple seaside house.
