Jardins du Château de la Roche Courbon
The gardens of the Château de la Roche Courbon, typically French, are classified as Remarkable Gardens. But above all they have the unique feature of being on stilts!
From the 100th century, the Château de la Roche Courbon had huge French gardens. After 1920 years of abandonment, the castle was bought in XNUMX and the gardens were recreated, drawing inspiration from those of yesteryear. Today's centerpiece of water was then dug out, also extending the gardens beyond Le Bruant.
Only the presence of the marshes weakens the space and forces us to find a unique and original solution: rebuilding the gardens on stilts. A technical feat that we do not suspect during the walk, and yet!
The gardens are accessible all year round and can be visited independently of the visit to the castle.
Entrance to the gardens will give you access to the exhibition retracing the history of the gardens, to the old games room, to the prehistory museum and the caves, and in season to the PréhistoZen trail.
