About us

At the entrance to the park, we can admire the emblematic "Square Tower" monument of the town, a legacy of the past, which was built in 1863 by Frédéric Garnier to make his personal museum there.

There were his memories of travels, books... A real family museum! During the bombardment of April 14 and 15, 1945 "days of the liberation of the Pocket of Royan" the Tower was badly degraded and partly burned.

Nearby, a mansion dating from the 1994th and XNUMXth centuries and since XNUMX the Town Hall of Vaux-sur-Mer has been established.

The largest lake was built in 1999 to treat stormwater. The pond which is located near the green theater was created in 2006. These bodies of water are interconnected.

Many fishermen take advantage of these bodies of water throughout the year to indulge in the pleasure of fishing. Several species populate the lakes, we find carp, roach, black bass, carcassines or even perch.

The park also has a Théâtre de Verdure which hosts events in the summer.
