The Paleosite takes you on an incredible journey through time, discovering Prehistory and our origins. Who are we ? Where do we come from ? Come and enjoy an extraordinary experience meeting Neanderthals and Sapiens. Train yourself in fire lighting techniques, flint knapping and prehistoric hunting, without forgetting the unmissable guided tour of the world-famous archaeological site where Pierrette, the Neanderthal, was discovered. An interactive and educational museum space, reconstructions of habitats and prehistoric animals: come and enjoy an outing dedicated to knowledge and fun in a protected natural setting.
The average visit duration is 3 to 4 hours. Restaurant and picnic area on site.
The La Broche à Pierrot restaurant offers you simple and hearty dishes with local products, which will delight the taste buds of adults and children alike! In fine weather, head to the restaurant terrace offering a panoramic view of the park and the Homo sapiens huts.

Coming from Saintes, pass the church and the town hall, then at the roundabout, take the first exit.
Attention, entrance to the site on the right 100 meters after the roundabout
