Since a young age, Mr. Tantin has been passionate about fishing, walks in the forest, mushrooms, the mountains and everything directly or indirectly related to nature. It was therefore quite natural that he turned to landscape studies.
When he retired, his father, a former farmer, bequeathed him a piece of land which served as the starting point for his project.
It was then in 1996, on an area of 16 m², that the creation of his project began alongside his wife. The terrain being sloping and oriented North-East, the conditions were not the most favorable. It was with perseverance and imagination that little by little the garden was designed.
At the beginning, trees, such as Scots pines, maritime pines, umbrella pines, or even field maples and oaks, were the first basis of the garden. Over time, walks and various meetings, they collected seeds and plant cuttings allowing them to create a garden at a lower cost. It is also thanks to different recycled materials, such as wood, wicker, hazel or phragmite that they were able to design and dress the flowerbeds.
For more than 30 years, Mr. Tantin has been working as a landscaper with as much curiosity as ever, which allows him to perfect his English-country style garden with the seasons.
Today, he wants to share his passion and his creation with others, so that they can escape into his garden.
