The Halle aux Vivres de Brouage invites you to discover the permanent exhibition "Brouage se la raconte": audio, interactive devices, a fun children's trail and many other surprises to help you learn about the history of Brouage.

The exhibition is aimed particularly at young people and offers to discover Brouage between humour and fantasy. By renewing the museum offer, with a more attractive and dynamic vision of the history of the town, this exhibition aims to abolish the distance between the visitor and history, with the idea of arousing a feeling of appropriation of the places and understanding of the occupants who have succeeded one another there.
This journey thus relates the daily life of the Brouageais through different periods. Humor and fantasy are at the heart of this new proposal, thanks to an offbeat scenographic treatment.
It is also the whole tumultuous history of Brouage that is told, made up of adventures across the ocean with the famous Samuel de Champlain, a native of Brouage, of bloody clashes against a backdrop of civil war, of impossible love between Louis XIV and Marie Mancini, which the exhibition stages.
