- From La Rochelle – via Rochefort: D733 (1h15 – 72km)
By train
2 train stations serve Destination Royan Atlantique.
- La Saujon station notably allows access to the Spa, ideal for spa guests.
- La Royan station, located in the city center a few steps from the beach, marks the terminus. She welcomes the gare routière, allowing connections with the Cara'Bus and Nouvelle-Aquitaine public transport networks.
By ferry Royan / Le Verdon
Located at the mouth of the Gironde estuary, the Bac connects Le Verdon (north of Médoc) to Royan and makes it possible to avoid the detour of the estuary and the crossing of the bridges on the Dordogne and the Garonne at the level of Bordeaux. The distance between the pier in Royan and the Pointe de Grave in Verdon is 6 km, the crossing takes about 20 minutes.
