Le pirate de Talmont-sur-Gironde

10:30-11:30 a.m.: Theatrical tour with the Pirate of Talmont “Pierre Gaillard”
The dreadful pirate lurks in Talmont along the Gironde estuary. Along with his coastal brothers, they will seize any ship that strays into the area. Plunderers and sea bandits, they fear neither the Gironde pilots nor the royal navy. You should never have crossed their path. Let these outlaws take you on a journey through the history of Talmont and this stretch of coastline, but beware, they could just as easily rob you. You have been warned.

11:50 a.m.-12:00 p.m.: Self-guided tour of the village of Talmont

12:30 p.m.: Lunch in one of our partner restaurants (see menu suggestion below)

15:00 p.m. - 16:30 p.m.: Visit to the Regulus troglodyte caves
Overlooking the Gironde estuary and carved into limestone cliffs, the Meschers "holes" welcome you into an exceptional setting. Originally natural, the Meschers caves were enlarged by man to become a troglodyte habitat in the 19th century. Travel with the guide to discover the history of the Meschers Caves; each has its own story or mystery.
