We set off to explore the north of the territory. Between moments of relaxation and outdoor adventures, nature becomes the common thread of our getaway. A short nature break in the Coubre forest. Slow tourism guaranteed.
Day 1: Immersion in nature
Morning: The day begins with an invigorating hike in the Coubre forest, a true haven of peace where maritime pines, holm oaks and shady paths coexist. We discover the local fauna and flora, breathe the fresh air and let ourselves be lulled by the song of the birds. We take the Gardour – Forêt de la Coubre path and dive into the heart of the forest.
Afternoon : After lunch, we head towards Bonne Anse Bay to Palmyra for a paddle session. We take advantage of this peaceful nautical activity to explore the beauty of this preserved natural space classified as a Natura 2000 area and admire the surrounding landscapes from another angle.
Night : We take up residence at campsite La Palombière, located in the commune of Mathes La Palmyre.
Day 2: Between picturesque village and discovery by bike
Morning: Direction the village of Tremblade with its charming streets, traditional houses and its port. On Saturdays, we stroll through the local market to discover local products and savor the region's gastronomic specialties. Meet at the port of la Grève for a tasting of local products, a unique opportunity to meet our oyster farmers.
Afternoon : We hop on our bike and take part of the legendary Vélodyssée®, a cycle path that runs along the Atlantic coast from Roscoff to Hendaye. We take advantage of this two-wheel ride to admire the varied landscapes of the Coubre forest. Let's follow the Vélodyssée® from Ronce-les-Bains to La Palmyre over nearly 20 km.
Night : Another night at La Palombière campsite to rest and recharge your batteries before the last stage of the adventure.
Day 3: In the footsteps of the coastal guardians
To end your stay in Royan Atlantique in style, take a step up and take on the concrete giant: the Coubre lighthouse. A historic monument which offers a breathtaking view of the Côte Sauvage, the immensity of the Coubre forest and the Atlantic Ocean.
