Mairie de Breuillet

Located in the Arvert peninsula, between Seudre and Gironde a few kilometers from the ocean, Breuillet takes its name from a Celtic origin meaning "grove" or "small wood".
The town has preserved many wooded and classified sites and extends over a hilly plateau facing south towards the Saint-Augustin marsh and north towards the Seudre.

The landscape also consists of cultivated or pastured fields, vineyards, oyster beds flown over by egrets and gray herons. Pleasantly flowery, the town brings together several hamlets around a very active town center where there are shops, public buildings, schools, market square, etc.

Nearby, leisure center and youth area, sports facilities (tennis courts, bowling alley, stadium, etc.), multicultural room are brought together in a huge wooded park, all energized by numerous cultural and sports associations.

Several activities and events mark the year: painting exhibitions, Roman Festivals, Musical Thursday concerts, Shell Festival, various evenings... All these events also make Breuillet... a village where life is good!
