Espace socio-culturel Georges Brassens
A socio-cultural center is a local space intended for the inhabitants of a territory (district, municipality, inter-municipality) which offers a reception to get information and be listened to, services and animations.
It is also the place where everyone is invited to come and participate in the life of the territory, meet other people and set up projects together.
What for ?
The image of the socio-cultural center is often false because it is often seen as a place built for people in difficulty. And yet, it is a space open to all, to all families and to the whole family:
– The Socio-cultural Center is a place of mutual aid, an activity space for children, equipment for everyone, from the youngest to the oldest
– It is a place that the population is invited to invest in to prepare projects to live better together. These initiatives, led by residents, are supported by professionals: they are local social development projects.
