Since its construction in 1750, the Château de Didonne has seen successive owners and several generations of Charente residents come to celebrate their union. There was a time, too, when the park was an arboretum. People came to walk or picnic there.

When he bought the castle in June 2022, Laurent Rouquette reopened the doors with the desire to make this place steeped in history a place where you like to come and spend a moment for brunch, celebration for an event or a quiet getaway, just seven minutes from the beaches and ten minutes from Royan.

At the Château de Didonne, the teams are working to restore warmth, conviviality and prestige to this exceptional place. The restaurant's chef serves traditional gourmet cuisine in the two intimate rooms, which gives pride of place to seasonal products, some of which come directly from the vegetable garden located in the park. On Sundays, the inhabitants of the area or guests of the rooms come to enjoy a hearty brunch in a friendly atmosphere. But people also come to the Château de Didonne to get married, celebrate their birthday, organize a convention or a professional seminar. For the occasion, the places are privatized and the team makes every effort to fulfill the wishes of the organizers and guests.
