About us

Magnificent port of Mortagne-sur-Gironde located on the Gironde estuary bordered by old flour mills.

Magnificent port of Mortagne-sur-Gironde located on the Gironde estuary. at the foot of the cliffs.
The port is connected to the Gironde estuary by a channel about 1 km long.

Its basins are fed by the Fondevine river, 4,7 km long and which originates at the Fondevine fountain in the municipality of Mortagne, on the edge of that of Floirac.

It was once a prosperous trading port and an important center for sturgeon fishing, a fish first caught for its flesh, then for its eggs: caviar (until 1982, when fishing at sturgeon, which has become an endangered species in the region). Today it remains one of the main ports for meager and pibale fishing.

Its marina has around 200 berths and has a wet dock with a visitor area for your stopovers.
Marina and fishing port, one breathes serenity there.

Port afloat, automatic lock, 150 berths including 4 visitor berths.
Left bank pontoon channel: 4 visitor berths.
Services: water, electricity (220 V) on pontoon, toilets, WC, showers, Wi-Fi.
