Boucle VTC – Des forêts de Coubre à Suzac par la rive droite de la Seudre
This 2-day hike will take you through different worlds: the ports of Seudre, the maritime pine forests, the beaches of the ocean and back through the Saintonge countryside.
At the first pedal strokes, and you are on the banks of the Seudre. To cross it, you can take the ferry boat in Cayenne (July and August), it will take you to La Tremblade.
Surrounded by the maritime pines and holm oaks of the Coubre and Combots forests, you will stop off at one of the area's beaches: either the large expanses of fine sand on the Côte Sauvage or the small family coves that outline the coastline.
Lighthouses will guide you like sailors at sea on your way.
Arrived at Meschers, you will be able to admire these troglodyte dwellings dug in the cliff. Over the centuries they served as a refuge for pirates and shipwrecks.
The loop ends in the hilly countryside of the territory.
