Boucle VTC (saisonnière) – De Mornac à Saujon par le littoral

From the ports of the Seudre to the ports of the estuary there is only one pedal stroke!
From the low reliefs of the Seudre to the hilly hillsides of the Gironde, your trip will be complete.
It will take 3 days to complete your hike!
Your first stage will be gentle in the Seudre marshes. All the ports on your route will show you the importance of this river for oyster farming. Take a break to taste oysters in these colorful huts.

At La Tremblade, you will head for the fine sandy beaches of the Atlantic Coast. On the beach of the Grande Côte, land yachts, surfers and riders meet to enjoy this vast space.

It will be time to rest.
For your 2nd stage, you will follow the estuary and this will be the start of some hills to cross.
You will discover the carrelets, these huts hung between sky and earth which constitute a dream shelter for fishing.

In Mortagne, guest rooms will be at your disposal for your rest.
Your 3rd stage will take you to the Coteaux de Gironde for which Pineau des Charentes is famous.

In Saujon, board the Train des Mouettes for the return trip.

This route takes Route 1 (“La Vélodyssée – From Ronce-les-Bains to Royan”), Route 3 (“Le Canal des 2 Mers”), Route 5 (“Around Mortagne-sur-Gironde”). ”), Route 6 (“Between Seudre Doux and Estuary of the Gironde”), Route 7 (“L’Étoile de Saujon”), Route 10 (“From La Tremblade to La Palmyre”), and Route 9 (“Les Chemins de la Seudre”).

Please note, this route can be done by taking the Train des Mouettes from Saujon or Mornac (from April to September)!.
