Then you will cross the Suzac forest, a link between the maritime domain and the river domain, and plunge into the heart of Mediterranean-style vegetation where arbutus trees and cork oaks rub shoulders with maritime pines and holm oaks. You will discover superb panoramas of the estuary and the lands where the famous “pineau and cognac” are born but also the local Charentais wines which are beginning to make a name for themselves.
