Starting from the church of Arces, a pleasant walk which is partly made up of a succession of hills overhanging the Gironde estuary, which dominate a vast marshy meadow.
Between Arces-sur-gironde and Barzan, several beautiful views of the estuary along this route where you can discover the Gallo-Roman port of "Fâ" (commune of Barzan) and the magnificent church of Arces located on a path to Santiago de Compostela.
Garde Hill – At the top, exceptional view over the Gironde. Reservoir built by the Americans at the end of the First World War to supply Talmont, transformed by them into a landing port for military equipment which was shipped to the front via Saujon.
