The facade, from the 12th century, retains a semi-circular portal framed by two blind arcades. The whole is richly decorated with plant (palmettes, roses, interlacing), geometric (checkerboard) or animal motifs (birds, lambs, fantastic animals from medieval bestiaries).
The Roman road found on the route was in fact the crossroads of several routes used by the Romans to travel in the south-east/north-west axis. At a place called La Piaudrie, there are numerous Gallo-Roman remains.
