PR N°14 – Médis
Departing from the multi-purpose hall rue des sports, in Medis, this circuit offers you pretty paths between countryside and woods.
The church has retained a beautiful Romanesque portal with elegant arches.
The facade, from the XNUMXth century, retains a semicircular portal framed by two blind arcades. The whole is richly decorated with plant motifs (palmettes, roses, interlacing), geometric (checkerboards) or animal (birds, lambs, fantastic animals from the medieval bestiary).
The Roman road found on the route was in fact the crossroads of several roads used by the Romans to circulate in the south-east/north-west axis. At a place called La Piaudrie, there are many Gallo-Roman remains.
