PR N°11 – Arvert
Departing from the village hall of Arvert, between the town, the marshes, the vineyards, this pleasant walk will allow you to discover the Alvertonne countryside.
Arvert, the oldest city on the left bank of the Seudre, is at the center of the peninsula that bears its name. Long threatened by the spectacular advance of the dunes, the village owes its salvation to the pines of the Coubre forest, planted in 1824 to fix the sand. Today, the surrounding marshes contribute to the production of the famous "claires" oysters.
