Chenac-Saint-Seurin-d'Uzet

Boucle VTC – Coteaux de l’Estuaire de la Gironde

This rather sporty course by its coasts (unless you have an electric bike!), takes you through the terroir of the region: the caviar, the vineyards, the lambs of the estuary...

Chenac-Saint-Seurin-d'Uzet

Loop

This route follows Route 4 ("The Loop of Meschers-sur-Gironde"), Route 3 ("The Canal of the 2 Seas"), Route 5 ("Around Mortagne-sur-Gironde") and Route 6 ("Between Seudre and the Gironde Estuary").

Autumn, Summer, Winter, Spring

Route of a pronounced relief.

- Chenac owes its fame to Gironde caviar and sturgeon, which used to be fished aboard traditional boats. Its history is told to you at the Caviar Museum

- Mortagne sur Gironde: The town has the particularity of being separated into 2: the lower part with the Port, called "La Rive", built at the foot of the cliff. On your way, you will contemplate the Hermitage, a partly monolithic troglodyte dwelling dug into the limestone cliff. Priests and volunteers are restoring it to restore it to its former glory. The upper part, an old town, is built on the cliff

- Boutenac-Touvent, for magnificent views of the vineyards and the estuary.
