The European Route d'Artagnan pays tribute to this historical and literary hero, by offering riders the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of d'Artagnan and the musketeers in 15 regions and 6 European countries. From d'Artagnan's birthplace in Lupiac (Gers, France) to his death in Maastricht (Netherlands), the European Route d'Artagnan invites travelers to ride along magnificent trails that illustrate his epic story.
The Route takes travelers to discover the European history of the 17th century, but also the landscapes, identities, traditions and heritage associated with the life of this emblematic character. The Route offers travel opportunities in close contact with local populations.
