The hinterland, traditionally agricultural, offers a colorful palette of wheat, sunflowers, clumps of trees and vines.

To connect Saujon to Cozes, you will take the small roads which crisscross the Saintonge countryside from one village to another and discover the richness of the architectural heritage.

Route 7: From the port of Ribérou in Saujon, signpost 7 will guide you to Cozes (intersection of Rue de la Marmande and Route de Javrezac). If you wish, you can take routes 4, 5 and 6 from this point to reach Merschers-sur-Gironde, Barzan-Plage or Mortagne-sur-Gironde.
