For enthusiasts and confirmed practitioners of windsurfing, kitefoil, kayak "surfskis" canoe or even rowing. Extrême Cordouan brings together more than 300 sports, lovers of sliding and thrills. We thus participate in the challenge around a unique monument: Cordouan Lighthouse.

Sailing tour of Charente-Maritime
The Tour Voile Charente-Maritime offers 4 days of races through the Pertuis Breton, Antioche and the Gironde estuary. We come to support the sailors during stage in Royan and also participate in the nautical activities organized on this occasion.

Saint-Palais-sur-Mer International Women's Tennis Open (ITF): from August 31 to September 7, 2025
The Open 17 is the 1st women's professional tennis tournament from Charente Maritime. It is part of the ITF World Tennis Tour. It therefore allows you to earn points for the world ranking. More than 60 females of 15 different nationalities compete in an exceptional club on clay.

Sliding weekend: September 12 to 14, 2025
The Sliding weekend is THE meeting place for lovers of surf and Music courses on Pontaillac beach ! 3 days punctuated by initiations to surfing, longboarding, bodyboarding, skateboarding, BMX… with the added bonus of French stand-up paddle championships ! Experience beach sports in a relaxed atmosphere.

Triath'Long U Côte de Beauté: Saturday, September 13, 2025
Each year, more than 800 athletes rise to the challenge. First of all 1900 m swimming, then 92 km cycling and finally 21 km running. The Royan long distance triathlon is a unique competition. It takes place on the outskirts of the Gironde estuary with a coastal route with a sea view.

Swim Run Côte de Beauté: Saturday October 4, 2025
Alone or in duo, we set off for running and swimming. The route runs along the coast, from Saint-Palais-sur-Mer to Saint-Georges-de-Didonne. S format with 2 km swim and 10 km run. L-size with 5.5 km of swimming and 23.5 km of running.

La Palmyre Adventure Raid: October 2025
The Raid Aventure is aimed at sports and nature lovers. By team of 2, it is thus necessary to overcome tests of kayaking, mountain biking and running. We are at the heart of the preserved landscapes of La Palmyre. 2 courses are offered in the bay of Bonne Anse and the forest of La Coubre. There soft (30 km) and the ultimate (56 km).
A seaside destination par excellence, Royan Atlantique is also a land of sports. Its varied natural landscapes offer endless possibilities for sporting events! Between forest, vineyards and marshes, lovers of cycling, horse riding and hiking therefore have a wide choice ofhiking routes. The ocean and estuaries thus offer real play areas for sliding enthusiasts. In particular the Côte Sauvage for the surf and kite surfing.
Throughout the year, the calendar is loaded with sporting events. Running, mountain biking, hiking, swimming, water competitions… all sports are present. There is something for all levels: from the amateur to the confirmed athlete. If you are on a weekend in Royan and the surrounding area, then do not hesitate to come and enjoy the atmosphere. And encourage the competitors!
