Since 2016, Morgane Barachet's family has aimed to revive the Apple Tree Estate in order to make it a place where The vine, nature, and conviviality meetOn the hillsides ofSavingsThe estate overlooks the Gironde estuary. Here, the mild climate and living soils offer the vines a rare balance. The estuary moderates the extremes, and the clay and limestone soils blend together. Through every action, Morgane ensures, each day, the preservation of this natural harmony.

At only 24 years, Morgane BarachetAn agricultural engineer by training, she took over the vineyard three years ago, alongside her parents. Together, they cultivate the land with respect and curiosity, constantly seeking to innovate without betraying the spirit of the terroir.

The diversity of the soils, clay and limestone, allows them to work with several grape varieties:

  • le Chardonnay, for fresh and aromatic white wines;
  • thewhite ugni, a nod to the Charente region and to gourmet food;
  • la Syrah, for its touch of originality and its richness;
  • or againAlvarinho, a Portuguese and Galician grape variety.

Each grape variety expresses in its own way the personality of the estate and the patience of a job well done.

Ucommitted viticulture and responsible

Since its creation, the vineyard has been managed in sustainable agriculturewith certification in sight. Here, no chemical weed control and a preferred biological and biotechnical approach: gentle methods and mechanical soil work are used to maintain the rows of vines.

Always striving for sincerity and innovation, Morgane also experiments with techniques of vinification in vatShe selects specific or indigenous yeasts depending on the grape variety and uses very little sulfites. Every step counts. Every choice aims to let the wine live, breathe, and reveal itself, creating wines of discovery. 

The first vintage from Domaine de Pommier reflects the very spirit of charentais wines Simple and proud, born from family land and a deep respect for nature. The estate now offers a dry white wine: Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Ugni-blanc, reflecting the colors of our terroir, available for sale at the property. And, new in 2026: a 100% Syrah red wine.

And because here, we cultivate both wine and encounters, the estate also hosts events, weddings and birthdays, always in a spirit of conviviality.
