For more than 70 years, the Domaine de la Chauvilliere is part of the Charente-Maritime wine-growing landscape. When it began in 1950, the Hauselmann family produced only Cognac and Pineau des Charentes. But the family has always been committed to developing its vineyard in line with the times.
Following the Cognac crisis in the 70s, the estate gained new momentum with the planting of Chardonnay and Merlot grape varieties. Camille's grandfather, Robert Hauselmann, then had the idea, along with five other colleagues, to create specifications for the production of IGP Charente winesA pioneering initiative that has borne fruit, since today more than 500 winegrowers produce these wines in the region.
Agricultural engineer by training, Camille Hauselmann seized the opportunity to join her brother Yannick and her cousin Antoine on the property in 2021. It is an opportunity for her to preserve a heritage while developing it, between innovation, authenticity and sharing.
Camille participates in the winemaking process. She also manages the administrative side and sales at the tasting room. She particularly enjoys interacting with customers. She is committed to showcasing family expertise and mastery of every stage of winemaking, from vine to bottle.
