With their in-depth knowledge of the area, they are passionate about sharing its history, culture, and seaside lifestyle . Each season, more than 30 guided tours and walks are offered on over 400 dates. From La Tremblade to Mortagne-sur-Gironde, including the remarkable architecture of Royan and the coastal path of Saint-Palais-sur-Mer, the region will hold no more secrets for you.

Who are the Storytellers?
The History Guides are travel advisors who know everything about the region. Through these tours and walks, they share their passion, drawing your attention to details you might have missed. As a bonus, they share historical anecdotes and reveal hidden, less touristy spots worth remembering. More than just visits, these are truly immersive experiences punctuated by wonderful encounters.
On foot, by bike, or in costume, the History Guides lead us to both must-see sites and hidden gems. The themes are varied and suitable for the whole family: nature tours, fun activities, and culinary experiences complement the cultural visits to towns and villages listed as historical monuments, such as Mornac-sur-Seudre and Talmont-sur-Gironde. We take the time to observe the surrounding flora and fauna, meet local producers, and discover the true character of the region.

What is a Greeter?
Greeters are local residents who want to share their love for their home and their passions. They offer free, personalized walks where exchange and conviviality are key. Their motto? To reveal their favorite spots and hidden gems, immersing us in local life. Following in a Greeter's footsteps is an unusual and unique experience. You rediscover familiar places from a new, sometimes unexpected, perspective. A walk often leads to an enriching human connection.
How does it work?
Greeters come from all ages and backgrounds, but they are not professional guides. They welcome up to 6 people and commit to respecting a charter defined in collaboration with the Royan Atlantique Tourist Office.
Does the experience tempt you?
Simply fill out the registration form at least one week before your stay. We'll connect you with one of our Greeters and arrange a time and place for your meeting.

Want to explore the region with others? Whether it's for an outing with friends, a hiking club, a school group, or an association, we have everything you need to create a tailor-made program. We'll guide you from start to finish to organize a personalized stay tailored to your needs and budget.
We'll work with you to create a turnkey program for one or more days: guided heritage tours, meetings with local artisans, nature walks, tastings, guided cruises... Just tell us what you like, and we'll take care of the rest! Groups are welcome all year round.
