Plage La Cèpe
About Us
Unsupervised beach of Ronce-les-Bains, bordered by seaside villas and pine trees with a view of the Ile d'Oléron.
Very popular with families with children for safe swimming, can be discovered at low tide (consult the essential tide schedule) to reveal the oyster beds (fishing prohibited at 25 meters). It is accessible from Place Brochard and its pontoon as well as by the many small alleys, some equipped with duckboard paths to the beach bordering the coast and extending over approximately 2,7 km, free car parks.
The Charline Picon Nautical Center offers sailing on this vast, sheltered body of water. The Pointe aux Herbes mooring area offers weekly, fortnightly, or monthly rentals of buoys from June 15th to October 31st. There are also restaurants and hotel-restaurants, a snack bar, picnic tables (Allée d'Oléron), and public restrooms (Allée de la Plage, Place Brochard). The "Théâtre de Verdure," a natural amphitheater under the pine trees by the sea, offers concerts at sunset during the summer.
