The wine production then displays its supple and fragrant character. The winegrowers of Royan Atlantique join forces around the event Cellars from here to show you their products.
DISCOVERING THE CHARENTAIS VINEYARDS
As an extension of the Bordeaux and Cognac vineyards, the winegrowers thus perpetuate an ancestral and reasoned culture of the vine. Each year, several areas of Atlantic Royan join forces to welcome you and let you know the diversity and specificities of their products:
- IGP Charentais Wines, wines with a subtle taste that can be perfectly paired with oysters, seafood and lamb from the estuary
- AOC Pineau des Charentes - our speciality ! – sweet alcohol to drink as an aperitif with melon or in a cocktail
- AOC Cognac, “Bons Bois” and “Ordinary Bois” crus, to be consumed as an aperitif, cocktail or digestive
The Chais d'ici event allows you to share a friendly moment to meet the local winemakers. We thus discover the different professions and the Charente know-how across the visit of the cellars and vineyards. In addition, we benefit from demonstrations and playful animations. Finally, it is an opportunity to taste, in moderation, country wines, Pineau des Charentes and Cognac !
