Rediscover oyster heritage thanks to a new exhibition.

A new exhibition on oysters is being set up at the La Tremblade tourist information office.
Produced in collaboration with the association l'Escale, it invites you to rediscover objects and models from the former maritime museum, which no longer exists.
These pieces bear witness to the oyster farming history of the town.

The aim of this exhibition is to revive this heritage by working with local associations. Rehabilitation work was carried out to restore the objects before presenting them in this central location of the town. In a space of 50 m², a permanent route traces different themes:

– Types of oysters
- The reproduction
– The breeding process
– Maintenance of the clearings
– The expedition

Period photos and reproductions of the channel huts enhance the exhibition.
