Chantier d'archéologie expérimentale sur le site du Fâ

Monday, August 03 at 10:00 a.m.

Musée du Fâ 25 route du Fâ 17120 Barzan

As part of the "In Search of the Lost City" and "Great Week of Antiquity" events, come and discover Roman builders at work, from April 6 to 8 and from August 3 to 5!

Specializing in the restoration of ancient construction sites, the Fabri Tignuarii team is composed of scientists and artisans combining historical knowledge and technical expertise.

For six days, in two stages—the first in April (6, 7, 8) and the second in August (3, 4, 5)—they recreate the atmosphere of 6nd-century AD construction sites at Le Fâ. You will see them build columns intended to remain on the site, assemble them, decorate them with the materials and tools of the period, and you will be able to discuss the techniques used with them.
