Viola da gamba and theorbo duo: Lucile Boulanger (viola da gamba) and Gabriel Rignol (theorbo)

The viola da gamba player Lucile Boulanger, winner of the 2025 Victoire de la Musique award, and the lutenist Gabriel Rignol, laureate of the Maurizio Pratola International Competition, are among the most remarkable musicians of the new generation of early music specialists. Both enjoy international careers and collaborate with numerous prestigious ensembles. Through this program, they invite us to rediscover the legacy of the great French school of viola da gamba, from Nicolas Hotman, a founding figure of the 17th century, to the early works of Marin Marais. A sensitive and inspired musical journey through a repertoire as rare as it is fascinating.
