Spectacle « Joseph Java l’interview »
Friday March 20 at 18:00 p.m.
Médiathèque Henri Moreau 30, Rue de la Seudre 17390 La Tremblade
Two armchairs, a table, a camera and a few books…
Everything is ready for the interview to begin, right now, live, in front of the audience. An interview about the place of poetry today, with an interviewer, Georges Barbas, and an interviewee, Joseph Java, a clown by profession. And it begins: "Joseph Java, what is poetry to you?"
When you decide to interview a clown, well… you're taking risks… Because the clown, of course, even if he takes it very seriously, answers from who he is, his uniqueness, his sensitivity, and his whimsy, from the kind of white bubble he has in his head. And the risk is that it will clash, that it will veer off course, that it will go off the rails… A perilous exercise, then, for Georges Barbas, who will need a great capacity for improvisation and empathy to steer the course and follow the taut thread of his interview. We follow him step by step for these 50 minutes, sharing with him live his surprise, his smiles, and his laughter, in response to Joseph Java's unpredictable and offbeat answers.
In this unusual and sensitive encounter between two worlds, where dialogue gets tangled up in the carpet of words, meaning and feeling, the web of an improbable and chaotic journey on the back of poetry is woven with humor.
