Since Outlaws (2020), Ludivine Issambourg has continued her exploration of jazz-funk with Above The Laws. While Hubert Laws remains a reference point, she expands her universe to include other great figures of the flute and her own compositions.
Driven by a groove inspired by the 70s and 80s, enriched with brass, Moog synthesizers, and new textures, the album features Nils Landgren, Laurent De Wilde, Céline Bonacina, and Brian Jackson. This work fully establishes Ludivine Issambourg as a leader and composer.
At the Palais, she will be accompanied by musicians from the French jazz scene for a powerful and immersive performance, between jazz funk heritage, groove and contemporary energy.
