With its unique instrumentation, the Akagera trio offers a singular and captivating soundscape where genres intertwine. A jazz open to the world, with entirely new orchestrations.
Composed from improvisation sessions, his new album "Traverse" reflects the diversity of the three musicians' backgrounds and influences: classical and contemporary music for Benoît, the blending of South American and Caribbean influences for Stéphane, African rhythms and Brazilian grooves for David, while reaffirming their shared passion for jazz.
With Benoit Lavolée: vibraphone, Stéphane Montigny: trombone and David Georgelet: drums.
