Jazz In Vaux – Philippe Duchemin Trio invite Timothée Isnard

17640 Vaux-sur-Mer

On one side, there's Philippe Duchemin, a virtuoso pianist, accompanied by Patricia Lebeugle on double bass and Jean-Pierre Derouard on drums. On the other, there's Timothée Isnard, a young guitarist who learned his strings at the Rouen Jazz School.

Philippe Duchemin, from Oscar Peterson to Bach, including Erroll Garner, is the journey of one of our finest national pianists. Gifted with an exceptional swing and a constantly renewed musicality, his virtuosity is a must.
A young 23-year-old guitarist, Timothée Isnard definitely has many strings to his bow. He is a dancer (graduating from the Pôle Supérieur de Paris Boulogne-Billancourt in jazz dance), a singer (originally from Cape Verde, he inherited that warm and unique African voice), and a guitarist who attended the Rouen Jazz Improvisation School. While he is in love with the playing of Biréli Lagrène, his style is inspired by classical jazz and its beautiful melodies. Timothée also uses his African heritage to sing us some Cape Verde melodies in his own way.
The meeting with Timothée took place in Le Mans through his father, a long-time friend of the pianist, and these two artists naturally decided to combine their talents for the best and for swing!
