A day celebrating heritage and popular traditions with a parade-rally-walk, activities, entertainment and meals.
PROGRAM OUTLINE
The times indicated correspond to the key stages of the day.
These are guidelines so that everyone can establish their own program and participate in all or part of the activities.
THE MORNING :
-around 07:30am: Place de la Pépinière: Setup of exhibitors.
-Around 09:00 a.m.: Arrival of participants in the day's Parade-Rally-Promenade and completion of formalities over a coffee break: registration checks, choice of circuit based on the power, speed or condition of the vehicle, distribution of the program, regulations and decoration elements…
-Around 10:00 am: Departure of the morning Parade-Rally-Promenade on two circuit lengths:
• The longest route will traverse a large part of the northern part of the non-seaside estuary territory and its hinterland, passing through L'Echailler, Saint-Seurin d'Uzet, Chenac-sur-Gironde, Les Monards, Barzan, Le Caillaud, Talmont-sur-Gironde, Arces-sur-Gironde, Epargnes, Le Pinier, Chez Guérin, Les Rimondières, Beauchêne, Font-Pâques, before returning to La Rive via the Cours de Bellevue and the Rue de l'Estuaire…
• The shortest route will be limited to the nearest localities: L'Echailler, Saint-Seurin d'Uzet, Chenac-sur-Gironde, Les Monards, Barzan, Epargnes, Les Parpaillons, Beauchêne, Font-Pâques, returning to La Rive via the Cours de Bellevue and the Rue de l'Estuaire…
APERITIF around 12:00: Upon returning from this first part of the Parade-Rally Walk, an aperitif will be served to all those present by some of the owners and growers of the Territory.
LUNCH BREAK around 13:00 PM: Distribution of meal trays to those who have reserved them. Picnic in or around the marquees for everyone.
AFTERNOON :
-around 2pm: Warm and festive music and dance show by Batuk NagÔ'céan.
-Around 16:00 PM: Departure of the afternoon Parade-Rally-Promenade on two circuit lengths:
•the longest will crisscross part of the southern part of the non-seaside estuary territory and its hinterland, passing through the villages of Saint-Romain-sur-Gironde, Mageloup, Floirac, Fêole, Les Girauderies, Le Seuil Plat, Brie-sous-Mortagne, Le Grand Moulin, Touvent, Chez les Raynaud, Chez Les Moreaux, La Charbonnière, Le Petit Village, before returning to La Rive de Mortagne-sur-Gironde via the cemetery, the church, the Grande Rue and the Rue de l'Estuaire.
•the shortest route will be limited to the nearest localities: Mageloup, Floirac, Brie-sous-Mortagne, Le Grand Moulin, Boutenac, Le Petit Village to return to La Rive de Mortagne-sur-Gironde via the cemetery, the church, the Grande Rue and the Rue de l'Estuaire.
– around 17:30 p.m.: Arrival of participants in the Parade-Rally-Promenade and parking of vehicles.
At the port from 17:30 pm
Opening of the lock gates
The first competitors of the Route du Rom 2026 arrived to music.
Closing reception for the 2026 Heritage and Popular Traditions Festival offered by SBT17120, Quai des Pêcheurs, to all those present during the day.
Various exhibitions and activities
Video report and "Reporters for a Day" competition.
Security will be provided by two-wheeled vehicles.
IN THE EVENING
The Association of Users of the Port of Mortagne-sur-Gironde will take over to properly honour the valiant participants in the Route du ROM 2026 with prize distribution, aperitif, giant barbecue and musical and festive atmosphere.

Parade-Rally-Promenade: €5,00/vehicle (free for SBT17120 members) Picnic basket: €15,00/person Music and dance show (free)
Musical dinner organised by AUPMG, free but limited places, subject to confirmation (remember to pre-book and bring meat/vegetables to grill, bread, drinks, glasses, plates and cutlery…)
