Fête de la nature
Saturday May 30 at 10:00 p.m.
Parc de l'Hôtel de Ville 17640 Vaux-sur-Mer
The Nature Festival offers a day of varied activities including fun workshops, exhibitions, an educational farm, theatrical performances, storytelling, an ecological carousel, wooden games, an organic market and a visit to the park.
The town of Vaux-sur-Mer invites you to join them on May 30, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, in the town hall park for another edition of the Nature Festival. Through this friendly, family-oriented event, the municipality reaffirms its commitment to environmental preservation by offering the public simple and concrete actions they can take every day to protect nature and reduce their impact.
Throughout the day, children and adults alike can enjoy a variety of activities: a mini educational farm with animals from La Cressonnière farm, an eco-friendly carousel, and dozens of wooden games provided by Jardin de Crocus & Lili. The event will feature artistic performances by Compagnie Midi à l'Ouest, while storytelling will be offered by Véronique Bordrie-Maouche.
Visitors will also be able to explore the park's trees on a guided tour with Francis Collin, attend the unveiling of panels dedicated to biodiversity, or discover exhibitions and activities about fauna and flora with Nature Environnement 17. Food lovers will enjoy culinary workshops about fruits and vegetables with the Interfel association.
Numerous participatory workshops will be offered: wood carving with Julien Chevreux, creative recycling with the workshop Hiboux Magiques and les Vents du Tao, or an exhibition of driftwood works made by students from primary schools in the Royan district.
On the mobility and responsible consumption front, a bike marking and repair stand will be run by the CARA mobility service, along with an educational trail and a quiz on cycling safety with the Vélo Pays Royannais association. Finally, the Great Collection will offer a "Sports Swap" area (collection, sorting, exchange, and purchase of second-hand items) as well as a "sneaker bar" to give your shoes a second life.
A day full of discoveries, exchanges and good ideas for taking action together for the environment!
