Friday July 03 at 19:00 p.m.
Esplanade du Concié 17420 Saint-Palais-sur-Mer
Organised by the city of Saint-Palais-sur-Mer, Musiques et Gastronomie du Monde is a world music festival, taking place since 2019 in an exceptional setting: the Concié esplanade, facing the sea.
A festival rooted in Saint-Palais-sur-Mer
Founded in 1995 and based in Saint-Palais-sur-Mer since 2019, the Musiques et Gastronomie du Monde festival has become a must-see cultural event in Charente-Maritime. Held on the Esplanade du Concié, between the town center and the ocean, it offers an exceptional setting with a view of the Cordouan Lighthouse, creating a warm and exotic atmosphere at sunset.
Two evenings of world music
The festival offers an eclectic and diverse program, bringing together artists from all corners of the globe. Over two evenings, six groups perform on two stages, blending traditional songs and contemporary music with Afro, Latin, electronic, and Creole influences. More than just a series of concerts, the event celebrates cultural diversity, encounters, and sharing.
A convivial gastronomic experience
Gastronomy is at the heart of the festival, with 15 food stalls run by local restaurateurs. Inspired by street food from around the world, the specialties on offer allow festival-goers to travel through flavors. Seated around large, convivial tables, they extend the experience in a festive and welcoming atmosphere.
