Exposition "Le Maroc de Pierre Loti"

The media library is hosting the exhibition "Pierre Loti's Morocco", dedicated to the famous French writer and traveler.
This exhibition retraces the diplomatic mission initiated by the French government to the Sultan of Morocco in 1889, in which Pierre Loti participated as a historian.
Fascinated by this country and its culture, the writer gradually moved away from the mission that had been entrusted to him to deliver a personal and sensitive testimony.
From this experience will emerge a novel that pays homage to a cultured Morocco and a tolerant Islam, a work that the writer Henry de Montherlant will later describe as "the best book on Morocco".
