Conférence – Si Charles Perrault m'était conté ?
Friday, September 25 at 15:00 p.m.
Musée 31 avenue de Paris 17200 Royan
By Jean-Paul Charbonneau, Honorary President of Cicero-Club
What if Charles Perrault were to tell his story? Behind the fame of his tales lies a man long forgotten. Nothing destined him to become the storyteller of our childhood. Born into the bourgeoisie of Tours, a poet, and a servant of Colbert and Louis XIV, he built his career before achieving literary glory late in life. This lecture retraces the astonishing journey of the man whose tales have endured through the centuries.
