Flute and organ concert at the Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in Saujon.
Programs combining the flute and the organ are rare, even though their alliance is a natural one—both are wind instruments: one is the mechanization and amplification of the other. It is uncommon because there are few original works; therefore, the organ must become an orchestra and borrow the material for this combination from other instruments. It is risky because of its inherent imbalance; the organ must be careful not to let the flute take center stage. Above all, this alliance is luminous and joyful, for through transcription, it serves a repertoire of infinite poetry, a fragrance of music.
