Le Palais Royan Événements 42 avenue des Congrès 17200 Royan

The Django Black Band is a string jazz group based in La Rochelle, which elegantly revisits the world of Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli while blending in influences of American jazz.

Composed of passionate professional musicians, the group performs as a quartet with a lineup combining guitars, double bass and violin.

Driven by a contagious energy and a strong taste for improvisation, the Django Black Band offers a refined, lively and accessible repertoire, alternating between great jazz standards, gypsy rhythms and original arrangements.

Regulars on the regional music scene, the group captivates audiences with their musical rapport, the quality of their performances, and their ability to connect with all types of audiences. Blending virtuosity, swing, and infectious good humor, the Django Black Band invites the public on a true musical journey through the sounds of French jazz from the 30s to the 60s.
