About
Royan Rand'Eau is affiliated with the French Hiking Federation. It has just over 500 members and offers sporting activities: coast walking, hiking, Nordic walking at all levels in a friendly atmosphere.
The objectives of Royan Rand'Eau are to develop hiking, Nordic walking and longe-coast/water walking within the Pays Royannais and to involve members in the life of the association.
The water walking/longe-côte activity: a facilitator qualified with a Federal Longe-Côte certificate accompanies you at sea, in groups of 22 people maximum. Start the Longe-Côte with a baptism, then with the Zen, leisure and sports levels. A certified FF Randonnée sports coach supervises our competition team which participates in the regional and French Longe Côte Aquatic Walking championships. We practice all year round, 6 days a week, either at 9:30 a.m. or 14:30 p.m.
The Nordic walking and Bungy Pump activity: Royan Royand'Eau will introduce you to Nordic walking, it is practiced in the form of a two-hour session including muscle and joint warm-up, Nordic walking itself and stretching.
Within the club, we practice it in the great outdoors, in the forest or in the plain, on paths, trails, beaches, from six starting points spread around Royan. Several times a week, qualified FF Randonnée instructors supervise introductory and advanced sessions.
Hiking activity: Royan Rand'Eau offers you the opportunity to walk and hike safely in a friendly and convivial atmosphere:
– Discovery hike on Thursday: 6 to 7 km, pace adapted to the participants at 14 p.m.
– Gentle hike on Thursday: 7 to 9 km, pace approximately 4 km/h including stops at 14 pm
– Regular hike on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 14 pm and Saturdays at 9 am: 11 to 13 km, pace approximately 4 km/h including stops
– Strenuous hike on Thursdays: 14 to 16 km, pace approximately 5 km/h including stops
One-loop circuits in the morning and one-loop circuits in the afternoon of 10 to 12 km each, full-day circuits of 22 to 30 km.
We also offer:
– “Heritage” and themed hikes
– Outings over several days, supervised by professional guides, with several levels of difficulty, in different regions, as well as snowshoe hikes
– Mountain treks managed by a specialized organization
– Create new hiking trails
– Provide training in animation, map reading, orientation and use of GPS, as well as first aid
– Develop trail protection, under the auspices of the Departmental Hiking Committee
