Zaïtek: Radio Royan, April 18, 1945. "Royan liberated! Royan freed! But Royan struck down. Occupied by a pocket of German resistance, the town was besieged and then bombarded by the Allies on January 5 of this year. The assault will be given on April 14 and 15 by French, American and British forces. The city is destroyed, more than 85%".
Zart': A tragic past, etched in the soul of every Royan resident… The years following the armistice were dedicated to commemoration and reconstruction. For nearly 20 years, around a hundred architects imagined what the "New Royan" might look like…
