Sauvetage et Secourisme Royan Atlantique (ASSRA)

About Us
Learn the basics of lifesaving with ASSRA, a club of the French Lifesaving and First Aid Federation in the Royan region. Combining outdoor sport and civic spirit, discover this fun discipline that trains the majority of lifeguards in France.
The Royan Atlantic Lifesaving Association invites you to discover a civic-minded, useful, and eco-responsible sport, accessible from the age of 7. Within this club, affiliated with the French Lifesaving and First Aid Federation, the spirit of mutual aid and solidarity is fostered through a fun and responsible activity. The organization plays a leading role by training more than 70% of lifeguards in France.
We offer a full range of training courses and activities:
– Discover lifesaving sport: a discipline in its own right, characterized by the diversity of its events. Participants take part in spectacular competitions, at sea with coastal events or in swimming pools for flat water events.
– Use of specialized equipment: the disciplines are often practiced with equipment, ranging from swimming to kayaking. These team events constantly remind us of the life-saving nature of the sport.
– First aid training: from summer introductory courses to continuing professional development programs such as the BNSSA or the BPJEPS AAN. We also prepare for the implementation of First Aid Stations at local events
The program instills essential values such as discipline, a sense of responsibility, and altruism. Guided by a team of motivated instructors and volunteers, participants learn to understand the world around them responsibly. It's the perfect opportunity to spark vocations while enjoying the ocean setting and sharing dynamic and meaningful moments.
